A dedicated professional in the nursing field, is the Founder of SAHM SAHW. She is the Vice President of the Association of Ghanaian Nurses in New Jersey. With a strong foundation in nursing, Dr. Baffour earned her RN, BSN degree from Seton Hall University, USA. Committed to Nursing Leadership excellence, she pursued her Master’s degree in Clinical Nurse Leadership at Rutgers University, USA, followed by a Doctorate degree in Executive Leadership from the same institution. Further expanding her expertise, Dr. Baffour obtained her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) qualification from Wilkes University, USA. With her extensive education and passion for healthcare, specifically, Mental Health, Dr. Theresa Baffour established her private practice named T & K Baffour Psychiatric Recovery Center in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, USA where she provides compassionate, holistic care to clients with mental health needs. Dr. Theresa Baffour established SAHM SAHW, a nonprofit organization in Ghana to support young women battling domestic violence and trauma. She is committed to provide education on the stigma associated with mental health in Ghana.

Dr. Raymond A. Kasei
A distinguished environmental and social scientist whose groundbreaking career seamlessly integrates climate science expertise with passionate advocacy for gender equality and mental health through Ghana’s Strong and Healthy Minds, Strong and Healthy Women (SAHM SAHW) organization. Currently serving as Program Chair for Business Intelligence and Analytics at POST University in Connecticut while maintaining his role as Visiting Associate Professor at the University for Development Studies in Ghana, Dr. Kasei brings exceptional credentials including a Ph.D. in Natural Resources and Mathematics from the University of Bonn, Germany, over 15 years of international experience managing $12.5 million in research portfolios, and recognition as an IPCC Review Contributor and UNFCCC Negotiator representing Ghana in international climate policy. His remarkable research portfolio spans 40+ peer-reviewed publications, supervision of 70+ international students across three continents, and leadership in multidisciplinary projects valued at $2.1M focusing on climate adaptation and sustainable development across West Africa, with particular emphasis on gender-responsive approaches that align perfectly with SAHM SAHW’s mission to break cycles of domestic violence through comprehensive mental health support and women’s empowerment programs.
As a multilingual professional (English, Hausa, German) and recipient of the 2016 Global Innovation Competition Winner’s Award for climate-smart solutions, Dr. Kasei exemplifies the critical understanding that environmental sustainability, social justice, and mental health are interconnected challenges requiring holistic approaches, making him an invaluable advocate for addressing domestic violence and empowering vulnerable populations across Ghana and beyond.

Michael Asaku-Yeboah, MS, LCADC, CRC
Michael Asaku-Yeboah, MS, LCADC, CRC, is a highly accomplished mental health and vocational rehabilitation professional with over 15 years of experience in disability management, addictions counseling, and workforce reintegration. As a Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and Disability Management Consultant, he has built a reputation for blending clinical expertise with practical workplace solutions, helping insurers and corporations achieve both cost savings and improved employee outcomes.
He has partnered with leading organizations, including Amazon, Walmart (through Sedgewick), and Bridgeway Rehabilitation Services, where he designed and implemented programs that reduced disability claim durations, prevented escalation of cases, and saved millions in costs. His initiatives—such as Amazon’s Work Wellness Coaching program—have supported hundreds of employees annually while delivering measurable returns on investment and strengthening retention. Michael’s experience spans functional capacity evaluations, crisis intervention, ADA-compliant accommodations, and comprehensive case management, making him a trusted advisor to insurance providers and employers alike.
Michael holds a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ghana. Recognized with Amazon’s Global Accessibility Awareness Award in 2022, he continues to champion inclusive workplace practices, with expertise in neurodiversity, executive coaching, and chronic condition management. Joseph Ayai Aryee
A seasoned civil engineer, educator, and leader with over 4 decades of experience across Africa, the Caribbean, and the United States. He holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Poznan Technical University in Poland. Joseph began his career in Jamaica, where he served in various roles, including Director at the Estate Development Company and Managing Director of Hytech Associates Ltd., an engineering consulting firm he co-founded.
In 1996, he earned his Professional Engineer’s License and transitioned into academia, becoming a lecturer at the University of Science and Technology (UTech) in Jamaica. He served as the President of the Jamaica Institution of Engineers from 2007 to 2009 and contributed to the development of the National Building Code of Jamaica.
After relocating to the United States in 2013, Joseph worked with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection and Northwell Health, overseeing large-scale design and construction projects in healthcare.
Joseph also serves on the Advisory Board and Executive Council of the West Africa Women Empowerment Foundation (WAWEF), bringing his leadership experience to empower women and communities across West Africa.

Ishmael Neequaye
Ishmael Neequaye is a dynamic and results-driven healthcare professional with a rich and diverse background spanning healthcare, finance, and customer service. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University, preceded by an Associate of Science in Nursing from Eastern International College. His academic foundation also includes a Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a High School Diploma from St. Augustine’s College.
He brings over 10 years of experience as a Registered Nurse specializing in trauma and emergency care, demonstrating consistent excellence in high-pressure clinical environments. Prior to my nursing career, he gained valuable industry experience with 7 years at Bank of America in credit acquisition, home mortgage servicing, and foreclosure review. Additionally, he developed strong customer service and operational skills during 4 years in retail with The Home Depot.
His multidisciplinary background enables him to approach challenges with a well-rounded perspective, combining analytical thinking, compassionate care, and strategic problem-solving. He is committed to continuous professional growth and making a meaningful impact in every role he undertakes
